A Taste of North Wales at 125 mph

Local producers from Anglesey will be offering tasting session to train passengers on 31 July.

Customers travelling in the First Class carriage of the 05.51 Holyhead to London Euston Virgin Trains service are in for a treat as they will be able to sample the delightful handmade chocolate of Mrs Teague’s Emporium, or the fruit pickles of Amanda Janes.

The tasting session will then move from the train to the London Euston First Class lounge, with samples and products for sale available from 10.00 until 16.00.

More samples will be available to passengers, with all independent business owners offering samples on the 17.10 service from London Euston to Holyhead

Vicky Jones, Customer Experience Leader (Holyhead and Chester) at Virgin Trains said: “We are proud to work alongside the Anglesey Farmers Market to bring the wonderful tastes and delights of the region straight to our customers’ table. On board taster sessions are a fun way for our customers to discover local producers from our regions. It is also a way for us to support independent business owners who are an important and integral part of our communities.”

Adamsons – (http://www.amandajanesofanglesey.co.uk/) Specialises in flavoured gins/vodkas, home produced fruit and herb vinegars, fruit and vegetable pickles
