Video footage of a Virgin Trains East Coast service being escorted by two Royal Navy Lynx helicopters from Newcastle, via Darlington, to York on Monday 23 March 2015. Lineside landmarks including the Tyne Bridges and the Angel of the North can be seen. The flight was arranged in return for the train operator's support for a UK-wide fundraising challenge.
