AN Edinburgh-based tour operator which was the first to provide guided Spanish tours around Scotland is celebrating after achieving a prestigious Quality Assurance award from VisitScotland.

Viajar por Escocia which operates scheduled tours across the country from its base near to the Royal Mile has secured a five-star rating from the national tourism organisation. The grading highlights businesses within the VisitScotland Quality Assurance Scheme who provide exceptional customer service, providing the best possible visitor experience.

The company was established in 2010 by Vicente Figueroa and Jaime Imbernon and started to offer Italian tours the following year. Having started offering tours around Scotland from two vans, the company has grown to operate 20 vehicles and employ around 80 staff.

The company prides itself on staff training and offers a unique four-level training programme to ensure their staff offer a premium service to customers.

2018 Year of Young People
