Voddler launch in Denmark together with Telenor.

Voddler, the Swedish entertainment service, today presented an agreement with Telenor in Denmark. During this spring, Voddler and Telenor together will be starting up an extensive Danish media venture by launching Voddler for the Danish public.

“We are very pleased that Telenor has joined us in launching Voddler in Denmark this spring and will be carrying out an aggressive profiling campaign. We are constructing the world’s best legal entertainment service, and now our Danish neighbours will also have access to it,” says Mathias Tönnesson, VP International Expansion, Voddler.

Telenor Danmark is one of Denmark’s largest telecom operators with over 2 million Danish customers.

“We are looking forward to offering our customers the unique opportunity of watching movies free of charge via their broadband. Many Danes already watch movies via illegal downloading, not because they want to break the law but because there has not been a good legal alternative,” says Peter Berg, Marketing Director at Telenor Danmark AS.

Voddler currently has over 500,000 registered users and shows more than 30,000 movies per day. We will shortly be opening Voddler in Norway and Finland.
