Data policy - West Midlands Trains to transfer to public ownership

We are writing to make you aware that London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway, currently operated by West Midlands Trains Limited, will be operated by a new company, WM Trains Limited, as part of a planned transition into public ownership from 01 February 2026.

Our reasons for collecting and using your data remain unchanged, however as part of the transfer process, we intend to transfer your personal data to the new entity so we can continue to send press releases we believe may be of interest to you. This is a legal change only – your data will continue to be handled in the same systems, by the same teams, and used for the same purposes.
