New coffee shop opens at Northampton station

Passengers at London Northwestern Railway’s Northampton station are enjoying new refreshment options after a new coffee shop opened its doors on the concourse.

SOHO Coffee Co. has opened its first ever PICCOLO coffee shop, offering fresh food and premium coffee for commuters heading off on their journeys.

The store, which opened this week, offers a food menu including breakfast butties, sourdough toasties and hot savoury pastries.

Annamaria Izzard, head of stations at London Northwestern Railway, said:

“Our team welcomes millions of passengers to Northampton station every year and this new coffee shop on the concourse will enhance the travelling experience.

“SOHO PICCOLO will provide a greater travel experience for daily commuters as they head off on their journeys.”

Penny Manuel, managing director at SOHO Coffee Co., said:

“Building on our two recent very successful openings at Bristol and Birmingham airports there is clearly an opportunity for a smaller format to sit either as stand-alone units or to act as secondary units to the full SOHO footprint.

“SOHO PICCOLO is a highly efficient format for platforms, barrier lines and pier units, providing a strong guest experience through combining quick hot fresh food and premium coffee.”
