SCARLET RETURN WITH “WICKED LITTLE TANGO” – NEW ALBUM ARRIVES MAY 29

Swedish metal duo SCARLET drop their new single “Wicked Little Tango” today on May 1, the latest release from their upcoming album "Don’t Be Scared", arriving May 29, 2026.

Consisting of Scarlet Hunts and Thirsty, SCARLET have established themselves as one of the most exciting new acts in modern metal. Following their breakthrough at Melodifestivalen 2024 with Circus X, and their 2025 entry Sweet N’ Psycho, the duo has reached an ever-growing audience both in Sweden and internationally.

Since the release of their debut album Obey The Queen in 2020, SCARLET have toured across Europe and performed at major festivals including Sweden Rock Festival, Gefle Metal Festival, and Knotfest. Along the way, their music has racked up millions of streams and earned radio plays around the world.

Their new album Don’t Be Scared builds a universe where fear is not seen as a limitation, but as a force to be harnessed where a sense of control can quickly give way to something far more unpredictable.

– ”Don’t Be Scared” is about turning fear on its head and taking control of it. Instead of pushing away what scares you, you use it. When you do, something shifts and you stop asking for permission and start charting your own course, says SCARLET.

At its core, the album explores themes of identity, inner conflict, and self-determination — recurring elements in SCARLET’s artistic expression, where personal experiences are given space both in their music and on stage. Through their lyrics, visual identity, and live performances, they aim to inspire and empower young girls and women to take up space on their own terms. The duo has also supported initiatives focused on youth mental health, including donating a portion of their proceeds.

The new single “Wicked Little Tango” captures a key part of the album’s thematic core. The track explores shifting power dynamics and the illusion of control where the line between leading and being led quickly begins to blur.

The album also features the singles Sweet N’ Psycho, Circus X, and Heartbreak Squad. In Sweet N’ Psycho, which went straight to #2 on Spotify Top 50 in Sweden, SCARLET explore the idea of embracing contradictions and owning every side of your personality:
