SWEDISH POP STAR PATRIK JEAN RETURNS TO MELODIFESTIVALEN 2026 WITH "DUSK TILL DAWN"
Patrik Jean, one of Sweden's most celebrated openly gay pop artists, is making his highly anticipated return to Melodifestivalen 2026 (Sweden’s National Selection for Eurovision Song Contest) with his new single "Dusk Till Dawn". The track is co-written with David Lindgren Zacharias, Joy Deb, and Melanie Wehbe and is out now.
"It's a huge dream to be back in the competition, especially with a song I'm completely obsessed with. A lot has happened since last time, and I'm so excited to show new sides of myself," says Patrik Jean.
Since his Melodifestivalen debut in 2021 with the acclaimed "Tears Run Dry", Patrik Jean has been unapologetically himself on Sweden's biggest stage. Last year he was one of the main acts on Stockholm Pride.
With 80 million streams as an artist and over 400 million streams as a songwriter, Patrik Jean has established himself as one of Sweden's most versatile pop profiles. His breakthrough came as a songwriter with winning songs in Idol in both 2017 and 2019, followed by victory at Melodifestivalen 2020 as co-writer of The Mamas' "Move".
His solo career has yielded hits including "Lean on Me", "Prosecco", and "The Talk", which was featured on New Music Friday playlists in over 20 countries. He has collaborated with some of the world's biggest DJs, including Felix Jaehn, Topic, Sevenn & Ilkay Sencan, and has toured arenas throughout Germany.
As a songwriter, Patrik has achieved radio number ones in Germany, gold and platinum certifications in multiple countries, and placements in TV shows including American Idol and RuPaul's Drag Race. He has also written for James Arthur, Callum Scott, Chris Holsten, Marcus & Martinus, and many more.
Patrik Jean is currently working on his upcoming album, scheduled for release in 2026.
