AddSecure enters secure communication market as "new" player

Today sees the establishment of a major new player in the secure communication sector, as Multicom Security AB, Safetel AB, Safetel AS and Securinet AS join forces to form AddSecure.

The new company's sights are firmly set on achieving growth through an attractive range of products and high customer satisfaction. Boasting in excess of 100,000 customers, AddSecure will turn over in the region of MSEK 400 in Scandinavia. It aspires to become a leading player in northern Europe and the logical choice for customers on the Scandinavian market.

"We're delighted to have finally secured the deal," said Stefan Albertsson, CEO for AddSecure. "Merging the companies allows us to offer the best quality from a range of fields – we'll focus on service where we do it best, and technology likewise. To achieve success, we must pool our existing strengths and exceed the market's expectations."

The merger will also enable more opportunities for investment in product and market development, while there are clear synergies created by the provision of complementary products and overlapping customer portfolios.

"We've been tasked with strengthening in every area," adds Albertson. "In size, professionalism, innovation and not least, interaction with the customer. Excelling in one area is no longer enough."

AddSecure is well positioned to secure market share in Scandinavia and expand into new markets across northern Europe. The new company will be officially launched on Monday 23 March, with customers, partners and distributors greeted by the new motto, "Have a safe day".

The owners are GMT Communications Partners LLP, Viking Venture AS, Follum Invest AS and B. Skaugen AS.
