Biosensor Competition Study of Protein - Carbohydrate Interactions

To facilitate the study of carbohydrate-protein interactions a method for label-free measurements has been developed using the Attana 100 biosensor to monitor binding events in real time. The method relies on measurement of the inhibition of a well-known carbohydrate-lectin binding pair, Concanavalin A - Yeast mannan, by lectin binding carbohydrates.
