Press release -

Extreme adventure, Popular music, Professional basketball, Magic – from Sweden to the US more and more are joining Challengera.com

Challengera was born from the realization (and numerous conclusive research e.g. Stanford University 2011) that established networks by celebrating, amongst others, cute pictures of puppies and friends’ status updates about yesterday’s cappuccino are leading people towards unhappy, unhealthy and overall, asocial behaviors.

This should of course not be the revelation of the Century as thousands of years of evidence and several hundred years of theory and practice in the fields of psychology, behavioral science, biology, sociology, philosophy, management, etc. have concluded that people are achievement-seekers and forward-driven creatures.

“Tired by these mainstream networks encouraging people to be more ‘connected couch-potatoes’ than ‘virtual social animals’ we have created what we like to refer to as the Ultimate Social Experiment. Our mission is clear: To help people transition (again) from ‘I like therefore I am, to I do therefore I am’”.

To support that transition: Challenges! Through its’ social platform web and smartphone apps challengera.com enables people to have real-life experiences with their friends and for them to share those with the rest of the world. It all starts with a challenge – it can be small challenge, a big or a huge one – whether it’s for real or just for fun. But for challenges to be achieved, it means that these challenges ought to be ‘proven’ – and that makes Challengera.com a unique real two-way communication media.

As a result, of being a true engagement platform, Challengera has signed agreements with celebrities in several countries already – and more are joining. For example, in December 2012, American Polar Adventurer Eric Larsen will cycle to the South Pole for a new world record. In the US, pro basketball player Decorey Jones intends to challenge people to healthier lifestyles. In France, Aude Henneville finalist of the popular TV show TheVoice joins Challengera to delight her audience. In Sweden, it is David Persson (Voted Swedish Magician of the year) who will trick his audience via Challengera. And more people in the limelight from various disciplines and fields are on their way to engage with their fans via Challengera.

Beyond working with Celebrities, Challengera is already in advanced discussions with many corporations and non-profits globally to deepen their engagement with their audiences. With ‘conversations’ between people and brands happening in an appropriate environment, Challengera allows online & offline interactions to get a real meaning and a longer lifetime. These interactions also permit companies and non-for-profit organizations to identify their true influencers and to leverage on them to finally monetize on ‘Likes’.

Challengera is a Swedish company. If you are a journalist, a corporation or a celeb (or want to be one) please contact us challengera@challengera.com

Challengera is the first and only social platform dedicated to challenges. We even like to say that Challengera is in fact, the first social network ever. And we say that because we enable people to have real-life experiences with their friends and to share those with the rest of the world. It all starts with a challenge - it can be small challenge, a big or a huge one – whether it’s for real or just for fun.

Challengera is also the first two-way communication media on the market. Challengera partners with Celebrities, corporations & non-profits to deepen their engagement with their audiences.

"If it's not on Challengera, it probably never happened!"
