Engcon has invested significantly in a brand-new office building, covering an area of over 400 square meters, spread over two floors. The new building connects with the existing production facilities located at the Swedish headquarters in Strömsund. The investment is part of a long-term strategy to create the right conditions for continued expansion.
Engcon has always taken good care of its employees and its local presence in the areas where the company runs businesses around the world. Now that Corona is challenging everyday life for people and businesses alike, Engcon has chosen to provide local support when its 300 or so employees get their Christmas gifts.
From 1st October 2020, Engcon will offer the Quick hitch Standard Control (QSC) its safe locking system as standard on all tiltrotators with Engcon's control system. In short, the current system for controlling the bucket lock under the tiltrotator is being replaced by Engcon's standardized locking panel.
Despite challenging market conditions, interest in Engcon's products in North America continues to grow. Inquiries increased after a very successful participation at Conexpo, this year's largest trade show held in Las Vegas. The pace of growth means that Engcon North America (Engcon NA) has had to move to new, larger premises to meet the demands of the business with a larger warehouse facility.
The effects of Covid-19 are not over yet, but this summer's sales figures have provided Engcon with a positive outlook. The unexpected increase in sales during the months of June and July mean that Engcon is now overseeing extra efforts to produce and fulfil the delivery of additional orders.
Excavators that perform more work with less driving time reduce the environmental impact. In addition, excavators that optimise performance, increase their profitability by undertaking more assignments while reducing the environmental impact of excavation work. So, to drive excavator efficiency Engcon launches its campaign "Do more. Earn more”.
This is despite the fact that it streamlines digging and turns the excavator into an all-round multi-tool. The concept is well established in the Nordics and through Engcon the tiltrotator has gradually extended its reach globally. Excavators recognize the flexibility and efficiency the tiltrotator brings, improving profitability, enhancing safety and reducing the environment impact.
All of 2020’s major global machine fairs have either been canceled or postponed – with this in mind, Engcon chose to produce their own live digital broadcast called Engcon 360, covering key products. The production was recorded at Engon’s own “exhibition center” located at the headquarters in Sweden. The live broadcasts were adapted by Engcon staff for their customers in each home market.
Engcon Group achieved net sales of just over SEK 1.3 billion in 2019, an increase of 13 percent on the previous year. As well as seeing 10 years of continuous sales growth, 2019 stands out because of pricing levels, establishing new markets and the roll-out of strategic plans for Engcon’s future. In addition, global demand for Engcon's products continues to rise steadily.
