FleetCor Extends Relationship with Shell

United States- May, 2016 - FleetCor Technologies, which is a leading global provider of workforce payment products and fuel cards, has decided to extend, yet again, its relationship with Shell and its commercial fleet line of business.

In the past, FleetCor has worked with Shell on a fuel card system replacement project that spanned over 35 markets, and FleetCor is excited to continue its relationship with the company, this time exclusively.

Back in May of 2014, FleetCor signed documents that allowed it to acquire a large part of Shell’s fuel card customer portfolio.

Even prior to that, however, FleetCor and Shell were working together, as far back as 2013, to put FleetCor’s Global FleeNet card processing platform to use with Shell’s commercial fleet fuel card programs across North America and beyond. The two companies also launched the Fleet Navigator Card, which is a fuel card designed for use with large fleets.

The companies also created the EuroShell Card, which provides business customers with a way to purchase fuel securely. The card is designed to be used by members of large fleets and offers special discounts, the ability to cut and control costs, and lower administration costs than a standard credit card. The card is accepted both nationally and internationally and can be set up to work only at Shell stations or at both Shell and Shell partner stations. Since its inception, the EuroShell Card, like other joint ventures between FleetCor and Shell, has been wildly successful.

The relationship between the two companies has been a long and successful one and continues to flourish this day, with Shell now signing on to work exclusively with FleetCor and no other providers of the same type.
