Yesterday, Halo Genomics launched its first optimized gene panel kit based on HaloPlex™ PCR technology. HaloPlex™ PCR BRCA Panel Kit enables efficient analysis of regions of interest in the breast cancer susceptibility genes BRCA1 and BRCA2.
The major bottleneck in targeted resequencing projects is the preparation of a sequencing library. It involves a number of time and labor consuming steps such as shearing of DNA samples, size selection, gel purification, adaptor ligation etc.
Halo Genomics’ HaloPlex technology combines PCR with sequencing library preparation and thus eliminates library preparation completely, allowing users to increase their sample throughput by up to five-fold.
HaloPlex PCR BRCA Panel Kit provides high specificity and excellent coverage of the coding regions of the BRCA genes, thereby allowing reliable detection of heterozygous variants.
Using Halo Genomics’ reagent kits only require standard PCR equipment. No investment in dedicated instrumentation is needed.
Note: HaloPlex PCR BRCA Panel Kit is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
