Gazette Publisher Steever Commends Technical College Graduates on Education Choice

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Gazette publisher Dan Steever gave practical career advice to IntelliTec College’s newest graduates at their commencement on Saturday, August 17th. Steever took examples from his own life and career and spoke to the graduates about setting and achieving goals.

209 IntelliTec College graduates – including 16 from the very first class of IntelliTec’s Personal Training program - spent the day saying goodbye to peers and hello to a new world of opportunities. The graduation ceremony took place at the Hotel Elegante Conference and Event Center in Colorado Springs. Over 1500 people attended the 11:00 a.m. ceremony.

Steever encouraged the graduates to continue learning after graduation, to develop and enhance people skills and to set achievable goals. He says these “were the best practical tips I have learned throughout my own 33 years of working.” He also mentioned his two daughters, each having attended universities and received Bachelor’s degrees, who ended up returning to technical colleges for the specific training they needed to attain careers. Steever specified that IntelliTec graduates are a step ahead of many others, because they already have the practical knowledge and hands-on training to immediately work in their career fields.
