Independent New York Book Publisher Will Begin Producing Movies

A rising publishing company in New York, Library Tales Publishing has decided to capitalize on this untapped potential for themselves, by creating a subsidiary film production company. The publisher will begin producing films based on their bestselling books, and work is already in production for two new feature films, one of which is “The Thought Exchange.” This is a metaphysical film about new thought, which is currently being shot in New York, and is scheduled to be released on November 11th, 2011 (11/11/11). Another film is ”Grausam,” a horror film based on the much anticipated book by the same title. “Grausam” is going into pre-production on September, 2011 and has not received an official release date; the book Grausam.will be released to the public on Halloween, 2011.

Chairman and CEO of Library Tales Publishing Usher Morgan said, "The Publishing business gives publishers the opportunity to capitalize on many channels that mostly remained untouched. The chances that someone will offer you to buy the film rights to a book that hasn't hit the shelves yet are very small if you are a small publisher; so I took the initiative and got into it myself."
