“The Fix” is the story of Eddie Parker, a young refugee from Russia, who arrives in New York City in 1949 from a German displacement camp. He and his family come to start their new lives in America. Eddie grows up quickly, becoming the ‘man of the house’ at sixteen — dropping out of school, gambling and drinking.

He becomes a pool hustler at Trios Pool Hall, the training ground for his career as a bookie for the local Mob boss. But Eddie overextends, putting his life on the line. The only one who can bail him out is his son, a High School basketball star. But things go horribly wrong when his plan backfires and puts Eddie on the run.
