Ovelin releases GuitarBots Christmas Song Package

HELSINKI – (December 12, 2012) – Ovelin ltd. announced today the release of Christmas Song Package for the recently launched online guitar learning title GuitarBots. The release enables any beginner or advanced guitarist to get ready for the holiday season by learning to play Christmas songs on the guitar, playing a computer game. Along with new song content, the release also includes new features and extensions that showcase the continuous development of GuitarBots as a gamified learning application.

GuitarBots Christmas song package features nine new levels, with Christmas-themed challenges for both beginners and more advanced guitarists. There are both more traditional and more modern interpretations of known classics, such as “Jingle Bells”, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and “Silent Night”. The new package features both chord-, note- and mixed exercises.

• Support for plug-in instrument (useful for electric guitars and semi-acoustic guitars) in addition to using the built-in mic
• Tutorial videos accessible in-game : youtube videos for instructing the player to play certain basic levels
• Ask a teacher : premium users can send questions to a real guitar teacher directly from the game account
• Customized learning: Improved editor, that allows users to create their own song levels within the game. Import feature from popular guitar tab formats to the game are to be released in the near future.
