Treasure Diver is now here!

Paf has developed a game which will help the Baltic Sea and which contains an incredible jackpot.

The oldest champagne in the world
In the summer of 2010 a group of divers made an incredible find in Åland’s archipelago. In a wreck on the seabed they found a surprising number of intact bottles which were discovered to contain champagne that was approximately 200 years old. The find became global news. The delicious drink was analysed and tasted by experts and the bottles hidden away by their owner – the Government of Åland.

The gaming company Paf began to quickly sketch ideas for a slot machine based on the champagne discovery, and Treasure Diver is the result. In the bonus game, which contains authentic images from the wreck, you even get to dive down and try your luck among the bottles yourself.

A completely unique jackpot
Whoever wins the jackpot* in Treasure Diver will, in addition to winning a large amount of money, receive an amazing experience. The jackpot winner will take three friends on what can only be described as the most exclusive picnic of all time.
-The group will travel out into Åland’s archipelago and enjoy the wonderful scenery, food and drink. The highlight of the trip, and the memory of a lifetime, comes when the world’s oldest champagne is uncorked, poured and sipped. Imagine tasting the world-famous champagne with your best friends, near the spot where it sunk to the bottom of the sea around 200 years ago. We call it a prize that money simply cannot buy, says press officer Anders Sims.

On 3 June 2011 the Government of Åland auctioned off two of the bottles of champagne, and gave one further bottle to Paf. It has been estimated a bottle could cost about 50,000 euros, so if you are not made of money, then Treasure Diver is the only way to get at this delectable antique drink.

*There are five jackpots in the game, one at every betting level. The winner of the jackpot at the highest betting level is the one who will win the trip to experience the oldest champagne in the world, in addition to the prize money.

The Baltic Sea gets something in return
Treasure Diver is unique in several ways. In addition to the incredible jackpot, there are a number of progressive charity jackpots which increase in line with the stakes in the game. The money that we collect will go to the Baltic Sea Fund that works towards creating a cleaner Baltic Sea.

The Baltic Sea Fund will use the money to construct wetlands that prevent substances such as nitrogen and phosphorus leaking out into the sea and deteriorating the water quality.
The first wetland is already planned and the hope is that this pilot project will lead to several more around the Baltic Sea.

Everyone who plays Treasure Diver will be making a contribution towards a cleaner Baltic and for the benefit of the millions of animals and people who can be found in and around this vulnerable sea.
