Aqua Hotels & Resorts launches “Enter to Win” contest
Aqua Hotels & Resorts announced the launch of an “Enter to Win” contest asking consumers to submit creative ways on how they would spend $10 a day in Waikiki.
“While other hotels are charging a mandatory daily fee for amenities such as WiFi, in-room coffee and use of the in-room safe, Aqua lets you control your money with no hidden or mandatory amenity fees” said Elizabeth Churchill, Aqua’s VP Sales & Marketing. “One of Aqua’s basic commitments has always been to include a selection of lifestyle amenities at no cost to our Waikiki customers so we’re asking travelers to let us know how they would use the $10 per day savings when booking a stay at one of our Waikiki hotels.”
Starting April 29, 2011, Aqua's website landing page will feature the “Fee Fighter” - a cartoon character who says “Amenity Fees Suck.” Visitors to www.amenityfeessuck.com can submit their original ideas on how they would spend their $10 per day instead of paying an annoying daily amenity fee. For fun, a selection of entries will be posted on the website.
The contest ends May 31, 2011 with the winner receiving a $500 Visa Gift Card plus 5 nights at any Aqua hotel in Waikiki including favorites such as Aqua Bamboo & Spa and Ilikai Hotel & Suites.
“Aqua Hotels & Resorts has always offered travelers affordable rates in Waikiki so there is no reason for us to compete with other hotels by tacking on a mandatory daily fee at check-out for a list of amenities regardless of whether you actually used them or not,” added Churchill.
Entries will be accepted until June 2, 2011. Must be 18 years or older to be eligible. No purchase required. Winner will be announced on June 2, 2011.
