“Jimmy Kimmel Live” Becomes the First Late Night Show to be “Shazamable"

New York – September 30, 2013 - Shazam®, the world’s leading media engagement company, and Jimmy Kimmel Live today announce that the popular late-night talk show is the first of its kind to be Shazamable.  Tonight at 11:35pm/10:35pm CT on ABC, viewers will be able to use the Shazam App during JKL’s broadcast of The Lumineers performance.  By using the app, viewers can unlock a free track download from The Lumineers’ recently released deluxe edition album and see a list of the other songs performed during the show with links to purchase or share.  

A free download from John Mayer will also be available during his “Jimmy Kimmel Live” performance on Thursday’s late night program.  All week long, viewers can use the Shazam App during each of the musical performances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” gaining instant access to the artists’ music. Other musical guests in "JKL" this week include Bonnie Raitt and Kenny Rogers.  

When viewers Shazam anytime during the show, they can also access the Jimmy Kimmel YouTube channel as well as the show’s music channel, so that they can quickly and easily see other recent performances that they may have missed.
