Shazam Announces Appointment of Brent Hoberman to Its Board of Directors

London, UK – 12 December 2012 - Shazam®, the world’s leading media engagement company, today announced that respected UK entrepreneur, Brent Hoberman, has joined the Shazam Board as an independent board member.  Hoberman’s extensive experience of working with successful businesses, including his tenure as Founder and CEO of popular travel/leisure site, lastminute.com, as well as Co-founder of PROfounders Capital, Mydeco.com and made.com, will add further expertise and strength to the company.

During the last two years, Shazam has successfully expanded its service in North America to include television programming and advertising.  Shazam enabled advertising has now been launched in the UK and Europe and the company plans to further expand its service in these regions in the coming year. Hoberman’s knowledge of the European market is expected to be a major asset in the development and execution of these plans.
