Narrative, Ngenic, Tinitell and EWA Solutions join the Swedish IoT Alliance SMSE
Stockholm December 23 2015. The Swedish alliance for IoT entrepreneurs welcomes four new members: Narrative, Ngenic, Tinitell and EWA Solutions. The latest expansion brings SMSE to 48 members and 14 partners and is a clear indication of a growing and well working IoT eco system in Sweden.
“Sweden has become a hotbed for IoT across industries and our alliance fuel that development”, says Magnus Melander, founder of SMSE. “SMSE makes it easy to navigate in the Swedish IoT eco-system which is reflected in increasing interest, visits and partnerships from key international IoT players and media”, continues Mr Melander.
Messages promoted by SMSE is that Data is the gold of IoT, Service Enablement is key to a prospering Internet of Things industry and Specialisation is needed in the increasingly international and competitive IoT market.
The Swedish Mobile Awards 2015 introduced a third IoT category for Enterprise of the Year and the nominees Riksbyggen, Assa Abloy, Scania and SKF are all great examples of use of IoT to improve efficiency, security and sustainability. All shortlisted companies in the other categories are members or partners of SMSE.
Hardware is a key part of IoT and during the year we have two new important initiatives established in Stockholm to address hardware challenges and opportunities in Sweden: the hardware hub THINGS and the STHLMHW meet-up group.
“Hardware is really difficult but without great hardware there will be no or poor data to work with”, says Mr Melander. “The four new members announced today all have their own great hardware”, concludes Mr Melander.
