Arteco and Arom-dekor Kemi starting a partnership for a better future

Arteco and Arom-dekor Kemi announce cooperation to unlock the environmental and economic benefits of purification and recycling of used de-icing fluids to use as base fluid in the production of coolants.

Arteco, a dynamic chemical company and a leading automotive coolant manufacturer, and Arom-dekor, part of Vilokan Group Fluids business with its innovative and proven environmental technologies, are pleased to announce their strategic cooperation to unlock environmental and economic benefits of purification and recycling of used de-icing fluids to use as base fluid in the production of coolants in automotive, industrial and electronic applications. By joining forces, the two organisations aim to close the loop of an otherwise finite source, promote sustainable practices, and contribute to a sustainable future. This partnership with mono propylene glycol (MPG) in the main role, brings together Arteco’s expertise in coolants and Vilokan’s cutting-edge recycling technology – allowing them a to offer to customers a more sustainable low toxic option by switching from virgin resource based, to a recycled drop-in ingredient.

Positive environmental impact
The cooperation between Arteco and Arom-dekor will not only have a positive environmental impact but also deliver economic benefits. By optimising resource recovery, the partners will contribute to a more sustainable and cost-effective waste management system. Additionally, the recovered materials can be reintroduced into the supply chain, promoting a closed-loop approach that reduces reliance on virgin resources. Both Arteco and Arom-dekor are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. By combining their shared values, they will drive forward the circular economy and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and resource-efficient society. They aim as well to inspire other industry players to adopt more sustainable practices.

”We are excited to embark on this cooperation with Arom-dekor,” says Alexandre Moireau, General Manager of Arteco. ”By combining our strengths, we unlock the potential of recycling, not only benefiting the environment but also creating economic opportunities. Together we help paving the way for a better shared future.”

Christian Lundell CEO of Arom-dekor comments, ”This strategic cooperation represents a significant milestone in our mission to recycling. Arteco, a leading coolant manufacturer in Europe, is the first customer to integrate the recycled MPG into their coolants. Together, we are taking an important step forward in building a more sustainable world.”
