7% increase: 929 000 guest nights in October 2013

929 000 guest nights was made in hotels and other commercial accommodations in Stockholm County during October 2013. It is an increase by 60 000, +7 percent, compared to the same period last year. Sweden in total experienced an increase of 2 percent during the same period.

Increase: Close to 1 million guest nights in September 2013

In September Stockholm County had more than 967 000 commercial guest nights, which is an increase with 3,4 percent compared to the same month last year. Sweden in total experienced the same number of guest nights as the year before.

289 new tourism businesses in Stockholm

289 new tourism businesses were registered in the county in 2012, which makes Stockholm the region with the highest number of entrepreneurs, according to turistnäringens företagarindex (tourism business index).

The City of Stockholm launches a new version of Visitstockholm.com – The Official Visitors Guide. The new site is responsive, meaning that it provides a good user experience, regardless of whether the visitor surfs through a smart phone, web or tablet.
