The year starts with creative months in Stockholm

They say that art inspires fashion, and fashion inspires design. The first months of the year in Stockholm is dedicated to mutual creativity and inspiration. First, the fashion elite will come together for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and the Stockholm Fashion Week trade fair, followed by Stockholm Design Week and the Stockholm Furniture Fair. Modern art will top things off during Stockholm Art Week.

The fashion elite will gather in Stockholm in late January for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, one of Northern Europe’s leading fashion weeks, featuring nearly 30 local fashion designers. The week takes place twice yearly, and the autumn/winter collections will be shown in January. The week is open to media by invitation.

  • Contemporary art week:
Stockholm Art Week is the collective name for several exhibits and art fairs, from “MARKET”, the Nordic region’s leading art fair, in which top galleries present the best of the best, to the artist-run Supermarket and Spring Salon, the established, jury-selected exhibition. Included under the umbrella are the photography fair PhotoMarket, and Antikmässan, the antique fair.
