Stockholm wins two prestigious American Meetings Awards

Prevue Visionary Awards is one of the most prestigious American Meetings Award. This year Stockholm is the winner of two awards; the best European Destination Award and Island Lodge as the Best European hotel and resort award. 

For the the second year in a row Stockholm has been named the top European Destination in the Prevue Visionary Awards competition, celebrating destination and suppliers who have shown excellence in three core pillar areas: return on Experience, Return on Investment and Return on Collaboration. 

- It is an honor to win these awards focused on innovation and sustainability. Prevue is the most prestigious meetings magazine in the USA, and it is an honor to win an award that recognizes forward thinking initiatives in the areas of environmental sustainability, social innovation, community building and CSR, said Henrik von Arnold, director Stockholm Convention Bureau at Stockholm Visitors Board.

Best European Hotel & ResortThe Island Lodge situated in the Stockholm Archipelago received the Prevue Visionary Award as best European Hotel & Resort. 

For the Prevue Visionary Awards, destination and supplier nominees from around the world where chosen by the editors of Prevue magazine and voted by the readers and the public. Winners were decided by the meeting and incentive planning community and the public at large.

    Thanks to a generous donation, most of the financing has been secured for construction of the Nobel Center on the Blasieholmen peninsula in central Stockholm. The donors are the Erling-Persson Family Foundation (H&M) and the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (SEB Bank/Svenskt Tenn).
