Visma acquires fast-growing Belgian HR tech company Beeple

Beeple offers planning and communication solutions for organisations with flexible workers.

Visma, one of European leaders in cloud software, has acquired Belgian tech scale-up. Beeple, a planning and communication tool for companies working with shift workers. The fast-growing software company has a strong position in the staffing sector in Belgium. Vaccination centres are among the entities in several large Belgian central cities using Beeple for scheduling.

Beeple was founded by Karel Rabaut and Nathan Samson in 2016. The founders noticed that many employment agencies were struggling to schedule flex workers effectively. With the increasingly tight labour market and increased demand for flex workers, this is more important than ever. At many companies, scheduling is just as important as traditional HR tasks such as recruitment and payroll.

Beeple is a central platform that connects everything around HR. The tool provides a direct line between different stakeholders, such as a staffing agency, a client and a temporary worker. Especially for complex flexible scheduling, Beeple offers features that are lacking in traditional scheduling tools. For instance, it allows several people to work on a schedule at the same time and automatically incorporates complex factors such as procedures into the processing.

With 30 employees, Beeple serves companies in various sectors, from employment agencies to organisations in retail, hospitality and healthcare. Every month, 30,000 active users in 26 countries across three continents work with the software. Beeple sees the Benelux as its most important market and also has plans to expand into France and Spain.

New step in growth story

The acquisition by Visma is the next step in Beeple's growth story. "We have the ambition to continue to grow steadily in the Benelux and explore new markets abroad. Beeple will continue business activities as an independent company within the Visma group.
