  • Geologen – Pioneering the Way with Hybrid Technology

    A groundbreaking research vessel, the e-Work 2390 Survey from Finnish boatbuilder, Kewatec Aluboat, features a drive train comprising of two 670kW Yanmar 6AYEM-GTWS marine diesel engines and a combined 200kW of electric motors. The Geologen was commissioned by the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) to study the seabeds and fjords around Norway.

  • "Ishin" Tugboat Equipped with Yanmar Dual Fuel Engine for Reduced Environmental Load

    ​Osaka Bay's first LNG tugboat, "Ishin" was completed at Kobe Port on February 27, 2019 and since March 2020, has been working in Osaka Bay and the Seto Inland Sea guiding large vessels in the area. Yanmar supplied two marine dual fuel engines (6EY26DF), as well as the fuel supply system which included the LNG fuel tank, buffer tank, and gas fuel device.

  • Yanmar Receives Order for 8EY26LDF Dual Fuel Engines to Power Japan’s First LNG Ferries

    anmar has received an order from Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd for dual fuel 8EY26LDF engines. The engines will be used to power generators on board Japan’s first two LNG ferries (provisionally named “Sunflower Kurenai” and “Sunflower Murasaki”). The ferries are to be built at Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.’s Shimonoseki Shipyard.
