High-Efficiency, High-Precision Tractors for Large-Scale Farming YANMAR Launches New YT4S/5S Series

OKAYAMA, Japan — Yanmar Agribusiness Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., has announced the launch of four new models in its flagship YT4S/5S Series tractor lineup. Designed to improve efficiency and precision in agricultural operations, the new tractors are available in Japan beginning June 1, 2026.

As agricultural operations continue to expand through farmland consolidation and face ongoing labor shortages driven by an aging farming population, demand is growing for larger machinery capable of delivering efficient, consistent, and highly precise fieldwork.

The YT4S/5S Series is designed to meet the needs of large-scale farmers and agricultural enterprises. Equipped with high-output engines, the tractors provide stable performance during heavy-duty tillage and towing operations. Models featuring Straight-Line Assist come standard with RTK-GNSS technology, helping reduce operator workload while enabling highly accurate straight-line operation to improve productivity.

The new series also introduces a redesigned front exterior inspired by Yanmar's signature "Y" brand motif. Combined with high-intensity LED lighting, the design improves forward visibility and enhances operator comfort and safety.

Yanmar Agribusiness remains committed to developing solutions that address customer needs while contributing to the advancement of sustainable agriculture.

Model YT488S / YT498S / YT4104S / YT5114S
Product Category Tractor
Launch Date June 1, 2026 (Japan only)
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price JPY 13,013,000–18,249,000 (including tax)

Key Features

1. High-Output Engine for Efficient Operation (YT5114S)

The YT5114S is powered by a common rail diesel engine that combines high power with fuel efficiency. Delivering a maximum output of 114 horsepower, the engine provides reliable performance across a wide range of applications, including heavy towing, tillage, and ultra-low-speed harvesting operations.

The model also features a maximum hydraulic lift capacity of 4,500 kgf, enabling stable operation even when equipped with large, heavy implements commonly used in large-scale farming.

2. I-HMT Continuously Variable Transmission Improves Productivity

The tractors feature Yanmar's proprietary I-HMT (Integrated Hydro Mechanical Transmission), a highly efficient continuously variable transmission developed in-house.

The system automatically enables operators to select the optimal working speed based on field conditions and task requirements, improving efficiency while eliminating shift shock for smoother operation and improved work quality.

3. RTK Straight-Line Assist with Centimeter-Level Accuracy (G Specification)

Models equipped with Straight-Line Assist (G specification) utilize an RTK-GNSS-based auto-steering system. By registering reference points A and B in advance, operators can perform fieldwork parallel to the reference line with an accuracy of approximately ±2–3 centimeters.

The system minimizes positional drift over time, making it particularly effective for precision-dependent operations such as seeding.

To further reduce operator workload, the tractor automatically raises the implement during headland turns when the steering wheel is turned. After completing the turn, lowering the implement automatically reactivates the Straight-Line Assist function, allowing operators to focus on steering.

4. Enhanced Safety Features for Operator Confidence

The YT4S/5S Series is equipped with high-intensity diffused LED work lights that improve visibility during early morning and nighttime operations, supporting safer and more comfortable long-hour use.

Large two-stage telescoping mirrors provide improved rearward visibility and a clearer view of attached implements. Additional safety features include a seatbelt reminder system and a PTO interlock mechanism designed to help reduce the risk of serious accidents.

About RTK-GNSS

RTK-GNSS (Real-Time Kinematic Global Navigation Satellite System) determines position using both satellite-based positioning signals and correction data received from fixed base stations or electronic reference points. Use of RTK functionality requires a separate correction service subscription and communications terminal.
