Yanmar Receives Order for Dual Fuel Engines

 Osaka, Japan (September 28th , 2018) – Yanmar has obtained an order for two dual fuel engines*2 "6EY26DF" as the main propulsion engines for a bunker tanker*3 being built by Keppel Offshore & Marine Singapore’s wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine. The engines, as well as its liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel supply system, will be delivered for installation in January 2019.

 Sinanju Tanker Holdings will own and operate this vessel in a partnership agreement with Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Asia Pacific). When the vessel is delivered in December 2019, it will be Singapore’s first dual-fuel powered bunker tanker running on LNG and marine gas oil.

 To help the shipping industry achieve a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, Yanmar will continue to develop ship engines with environmental sustainability in mind and providing optimal solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
