Yanmar to Exhibit at TICAD Business Expo & Conference to Promote Japan-Africa Business Exchange
Yokohama, Japan (August 4, 2025) — Yanmar Agribusiness Co., Ltd. and Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd., group companies of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., will exhibit for the first time at the TICAD Business Expo & Conference, scheduled to take place Aug. 20–22, 2025, at PACIFICO Yokohama.
Hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and co-organized by the Japan Business Council for Africa with support from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event is held alongside the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). The expo aims to showcase Japanese products, technologies and services to African heads of state, ministers and business leaders participating in TICAD9.
Yanmar Group will join more than 190 Japanese companies and organizations exhibiting in the Japan Fair, where it will display two of its flagship solutions: the HIMOINSA EHR portable battery system and the YH700 multipurpose combine harvester.
In addition, Kemal Shoshi, president of Yanmar Agribusiness, will speak on Aug. 21 at Stage C during a session titled “Yanmar's activities in West Africa: contribution to agricultural mechanization,” where he will outline the company's initiatives in the region.
Yanmar continues to expand its presence in Africa. In May 2025, Yanmar Agribusiness signed a partnership agreement with ATC Comafrique, a distributor in Côte d’Ivoire, to collaborate on agricultural development. Furthermore, HIMOINSA operates four local subsidiaries in Africa and has established a network of distributors. The company remains committed to delivering solutions that contribute to agriculture and other industries across Africa.
