    Yanmar Marine International (YMI) has launched the E-Saildrive, its first electric propulsion product designed to provide an easy transition to emission-free sailing. The E-Saildrive is available in three models – the SDe7, the SDe10 and the SDe15, delivering up to 15kW of power for sailboats under 40ft.

    A groundbreaking research vessel, the e-Work 2390 Survey from Finnish boatbuilder, Kewatec Aluboat, features a drive train comprising of two 670kW Yanmar 6AYEM-GTWS marine diesel engines and a combined 200kW of electric motors. The Geologen was commissioned by the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) to study the seabeds and fjords around Norway.

Lines, Ltd. and Yanmar Power Technology have proposed Development of Methane Slip Reduction Technology with Hitachi Zosen as the managing company in the Development of Next Generation Vessels Project publicly solicited by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization under the Green Innovation Fund.   • Yanmar Delivers Dual-Fuel Tugboat Propulsion Engines

    Yanmar has delivered two 6EY26DF dual-fuel commercial marine engines with the ability to use both heavy fuel oil (HFO) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel for tugboat. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) will take delivery of the vessels once construction is completed in February 2019 with the tugboat expected to commence operation in April 2019.
