Thursday evening, Bruun Rasmussen achieved yet another Danish auction record with the sale of a Rolex Daytona Cosmograph from 1964-65, also known as the “Paul Newman” watch. It was sold for the extraordinary price of DKK 1.7 million (€297,000 including buyer’s premium), which is the highest hammer price ever achieved at a wristwatch auction in Denmark.

The international auction at Bruun Rasmussen continues to surprise! Thursday, a new Danish auction record was achieved with the legendary panther bangle from Cartier, which went for DKK 1.2 million (€210,000 incl. buyer’s premium). For the first time ever, Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers in Copenhagen offers an exclusive diamond bracelet from the legendary American jeweller Harry Winston. The bracelet was designed by Francois Tavernier in 1965 and is estimated at a price of DKK 400,000-500,000.

There were plenty of eager bidders at Thursday’s jewellery auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, where an elegant diamond bracelet from the "King of Diamonds" Harry Winston was sold for DKK 510,000. This is a Danish auction record for a bracelet, and at the same time it is the second highest hammer price for a piece of jewellery in the history of the auction house.

When the year's first international auction at Brunn Rasmussen in Copenhagen takes place at the end of February, Greenlandic rubies will be up for auction for the first time in history. The rubies come from the Aappaluttoq mine south of Nuuk and are part of the impressive jewellery set "La Nina".
