There were plenty of eager bidders at Thursday’s jewellery auction at Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, where an elegant diamond bracelet from the "King of Diamonds" Harry Winston was sold for DKK 510,000. This is a Danish auction record for a bracelet, and at the same time it is the second highest hammer price for a piece of jewellery in the history of the auction house.

For the first time ever, Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers in Copenhagen offers an exclusive diamond bracelet from the legendary American jeweller Harry Winston. The bracelet was designed by Francois Tavernier in 1965 and is estimated at a price of DKK 400,000-500,000.

When the year's first international auction at Brunn Rasmussen in Copenhagen takes place at the end of February, Greenlandic rubies will be up for auction for the first time in history. The rubies come from the Aappaluttoq mine south of Nuuk and are part of the impressive jewellery set "La Nina".
