Grand Hôtel invests in sustainable workouts

The Grand Hôtel is replacing the fitness machines in the popular Grand Hôtel Nordic Spa & Fitness for state-of-the-art, eco-friendly products from the ARTIS® Renew from Technogym. The machines harness the energy generated by the user’s workout and returns it to power the machine, while channelling any surplus energy to the general electricity grid. During their workout, users can see exactly how much energy has been recycled, as well as how much carbon dioxide has been spared compared to using regular fitness machines.

“Naturally, we think it’s important to do what we can to cut energy consumption and thereby our carbon footprint. It feels great that our guests can help us out with this through their workouts,” says Pia Djupmark, CEO, Grand Hôtel.
