Press release -

Fashion Week Checks In at Grand Hôtel Stockholm

As the new official arena for Fashion Week Stockholm, the Grand Hôtel is pleased to welcome Sweden’s leading fashion brands between August 30 and September 1. Numerous participating designers will be showing their upcoming spring/summer collection over a three-day period. What’s more, Stockholmers and visitors to the city are invited to open fashion week events to catch the latest on the Swedish fashion scene.

From autumn this year, Fashion Week Stockholm will be centred around the Grand Hôtel and the Blasieholmen area of the city. Here, Swedish and international press will gather to cover and experience the very latest in Swedish fashion. In order to open fashion week up and involve more Stockholmers and visitors to the city in this dynamic three-day event, fashion shows are being streamed live from the hotel, open fashion events are being hosted in the Cadier Bar, and an exhibition of work by artist and fashion designer Bea Szenfeld is being showcased in the lobby.

Exhibition In Collaboration With Bea Szenfeld

During Fashion Week Stockholm, Swedish creator and star designer Bea Szenfeld will be exhibiting three never-before-shown paper creations at the hotel. These exclusive creations will be on view in the lobby, making Bea Szenfeld the first external partner to exhibit in the space.

“I’m very proud to be the first designer to exhibit in the Grand Hôtel’s beautiful lobby. I’ll be presenting three paper creations, none of which have been shown to the public before. An extra fun element is being able to surprise hotel guests and visitors with my designs,” says Bea Szenfeld.

Grand Hôtel Fashion Lounge

In conjunction with fashion week, the Grand Hôtel is opening a Pop-up Fashion Lounge for hotel guests and other visitors. Anyone interested in watching live screenings from the catwalk while enjoying a refreshment can do so at the lounge’s pop-up fashion week champagne bar. The lounge is located just outside the hotel’s Veranda restaurant, a Stockholm classic.

The New Cadier Bar

On the three-nights of Fashion Week Stockholm, the launch of the new Cadier Bar will be celebrated with key names in fashion and their friends spinning the grooves as guest DJs.

“We really look forward to opening our doors to Fashion Week Stockholm. For us, it’s been important to be an active partner from the very start of this collaboration. And it’s particularly fun to be able to invite both hotel guests and interested visitors to experience Swedish fashion, both in the form of our exhibition with Bea Szenfeld, our open Fashion Lounge, and evenings in the Cadier Bar,” says Pia Djupmark, CEO, Grand Hôtel.

Fashion Week Stockholm will take place from August 30 to September 1, 2017.
