Grand Hôtel recruits new CFO

The Grand Hôtel continues to invest in the future with the recruitment of Magnus Karlberg as new CFO this autumn. Magnus joins the Grand Hôtel from Investor, where he was Investment Manager.

The Grand Hôtel in Stockholm is strengthening its finance department with the recruitment of Magnus Karlberg from Investor. Magnus spent 14 years at Investor, where his most recent position was Investment Manager in Stockholm. During his time at Investor, he was also partly stationed at Investor’s New York office. Prior to Investor, Magnus worked at SEB Debt Capital Markets, and studied economics at the Stockholm School of Economics and the University of British Columbia.

In his new position at the Grand Hôtel, Magnus is responsible for further enhancing the hotel’s financial performance going forward, while taking an operative role at the hotel with overall responsibility for finance, IT and purchasing. He will also have a major focus on strategic development work in collaboration with the rest of the management team.

This has given me good insight into what my future work entails, as well as experience that I bring with me as I take a step into the operative side of the business.
