HAGLÖFS LAUNCHES NEW E-COMMERCE PLATFORM AND EXPANDS INTO NEW MARKETS

Swedish outdoor brand Haglöfs launches a new website and introduces online sales in four new countries. The objective is to open ecommerce in all its key markets within the next six months as to complement its wholesale and retail business.

Over the past couple of years Haglöfs has taken several measures to strengthen its position on the highly competitive outdoor market. The brand now steps up its game by investing in its e-commerce platform with the aim to supplement its wholesale and retail sales. With the recent launch of its new website, Haglöfs now offers online shopping in five of its key markets – Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany and the UK.

“We have put a lot of effort into creating a great shopping and brand experience on the new site, focusing on our customers’ interests and choice of activity as well as their buying behaviour. The customer-first approach seems to be paying off well, and the launch has been nothing but successful with a significant improvement in sales and consumer engagement in less than a month” said Katarina Johansson, Head of E-commerce at Haglöfs.

The outdoor brand aims at opening more e-markets within short; next in line is Norway within a couple of months, after which the rest of Europe will follow.

“We see a high demand for buying our products online and want to offer this possibility to all of our customers across our retailer network. Our aim is to have online sales in all our key markets within the next six months” said Katarina Johansson.

Haglöfs new website was launched in the end of October 2017 and is based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
