Stockholm (November, 2018) – Haglöfs launches the V series Raw Anorak – an outdoor jacket that blends futuristic material innovation with cutting-edge design. It's an extremely durable and sustainable outdoor shell jacket, and the second product in Haglöfs V series concept.

Since it was founded in 1914, Haglöfs has become renowned for using cutting-edge innovation and technology to make premium outdoor gear. To push the company's boundaries even further, the stand-alone product concept V series – showcasing the cutting-edge innovation that's a part of Haglöfs' DNA – was launched in 2017.

Now, Haglöfs proudly presents the V series Raw Anorak, a fully taped, undyed and fluorocarbon-free three-layer anorak, built with Haglöfs’ own PROOF™ material technology for full water- and windproofing in tough outdoor environments. It was developed from a distinct set of ideas that included forward-thinking innovation, simplicity, durability, protection and sustainability. Jenny Kjellbom, Senior Designer at Haglöfs, explains:

“With the V series Raw Anorak, we set the bar high, pushed the limits and aimed for the most futuristic, long-lasting and high-performance product ever made. That’s why it’s made from a recycled nylon fabric and held together by Vectran™, a thread used in cables for deep-sea explorations. Pretty amazing, not least when you realize that this will help the anorak last for decades.

“This anorak is truly different from a traditional outdoor jacket. Except for the color. The material has been left its original shade of white – because by skipping the dyeing process we saved an incredible amount of water. “

V series Raw Anorak – key features

  • Fabric: three-layer, non-dyed, PROOF™ ECO fabric. 94% Recycled Polyamide, 6% Vectran™ ripstop with PU membrane and tricot backer
  • 149g/m2 hydrostatic head: >20,000 mm; moisture permeability (inverted cup):
  • >10,000g/m2/24h
  • Vectran™ reinforced ripstop construction and recycled polyamide for extraordinary strength
  • Fluorocarbon-free DWR treated surfaces to help repel water and dirt
  • Folded gusset construction at front collar and bottom side slit allow for maximum protection and unrestricted mobility
  • Long side zipper
  • Buttoned sleeve adjustment, with buttons at the back of the hood and at the side of the body for a custom fit
  • Large zippered front pocket
  • Centre back length 97cm (men’s size L)

The V series Raw Anorak comes in unisex sizing (S-XL) and is launched in a limited edition on November 15th. It will be available at Haglöfs own stores and online, as well as through selected retailers – including Très Bien (Malmö), Slam Jam (Milan), Firmament (Berlin) and Norse Store (Copenhagen).
