Löfbergs brings hard vacuum packages to Norway

Löfbergs is now bringing 500 grams hard vacuum packages into its Norwegian assortment. At the same time, the supply is increasing with several new coffees full of flavour from Löfbergs. Among the new coffees, we find Medium Roast, which has been a bestseller in Sweden for a long time.

- Löfbergs' packaging has many advantages. We will carry less air, which is good for the environment, and the retailers will have room for more coffee on their shelves. Coffee in this kind of packaging also has longer durability, says Jarle Myrdam, sales manager for retail at Löfbergs AS.

People thirsting for coffee
Norway is one of the countries where people drink most coffee per person in the entire world. Today, 95 % of all coffee that is sold in Norway is packed in soft vacuum packages. But Löfbergs believes that this can change.

- A lot of Norwegians are familiar with hard vacuum packages as well as Löfbergs, not least via cross-border shopping. So we do know that there is a demand. That is why it so good that several of the big food retailers and other operators make it possible for more people to buy really good coffee all over Norway, says Jarle Myrdam.

Their own roasting-house in Norway
Löfbergs is one of the largest family-owned coffee roasters in the Nordic countries. The head office is located in Karlstad, Sweden, 68 miles (110 km) from the Norwegian border. Löfbergs also has a roasting-house in Norway, Crema Kaffebrenneri in Sandefjord.
