He also won first place in both the Moët & Chandon Sommelier Challenge 2012 and the Rioja Sommelier Awards.

“With yesterday’s win at the Swedish National Sommelier Championship, we are especially delighted to have recruited Fredrik Lindfors. Here at the Grand Hôtel, he will continue to develop the depth and breadth of our wine cellar. Our goal, as always, is to deliver a world-class wine and beverage experience and I am sure that thanks to Fredrik we will reach new heights,” says Pia Djupmark, CEO, Grand Hôtel.

The Grand Hôtel’s wine cellar contains over 18 000 bottles, including a couple of unique bottles from 1874, the year the hotel opened. The Grand Hôtel’s extensive collection of exclusive wines has now become more accessible to guests as the hotel has started to sell more and more wines by the glass. Today it is possible to order a glass of wine in the SEK 600 to SEK 2 500 per glass price class.

“With such an exceptional wine cellar, our aim is to provide our guests with the best there is to offer in terms of wine, spirits and other beverages, with a selection in various price classes. Another key element is that all the bottles in our wine cellar are on our wine list,” says Fredrik Lindfors, Head Sommelier, Grand Hôtel.
