Press release -
Full house when Offecct opened showroom in Milan "An important strategic step in our global expansion"
During Milan Design Week the Swedish furniture and design company Offecct opened its new meeting arena in the Italian city.
− Milan is the design capital of the world and it´s natural for us to be established here, says Offecct CEO Kurt Tingdal.
In a long-term partnership with Offeccts Italian representative Forum Progetti, Offecct has now established itself in Milan.
− We´re pleased and proud that over 100 people chose to come to our opening night during Milan Design Week. Today, we have clients in over 56 countries. This new meeting arena is a milestone for us and an important strategic step in our continued global expansion, says Kurt Tingdal.
The meeting arena was opened with an art inspired presentation of Offecct´s and Luca Nichetto´s new chair Phoenix. The exclusive installation was originally made in collaboration with Sweden’s leading auction house Bukowskis.
Luca Nichetto attended the crowded opening, along with Kurt Tingdal and Offecct Design Manager Anders Englund. During the week Offecct also has a stand at the Salone del Mobile, which with more than 340,000 visitors from around 160 nations is the world's largest design and furniture fair.
Furthermore, Offecct will shortly reopen its showroom in Stockholm in an old station building at Lilla Bantorget. Offecct will then have their own meeting arenas in five locations – in addition to Stockholm and Milan also Gothenburg, Malmo and Oslo.
− These are active meeting places for discussions about design, sustainable interiors and attractiveness, rather than traditional showrooms, says Kurt Tingdal.
