PlayAd Media Group acquires Ability Mobile and significantly strengthens mobile advertising offering

PlayAd Media Group acquires Ability Mobile and becomes a full-service provider of video and display advertising on both desktop and mobile devices. PlayAd has seen a significant growth in its premium online video advertising offering in 2012, tripling its turnover. – In 2013, we expect mobile video to take off substantially, and we realized that we had to obtain the required conceptual and technical competence within mobile advertising fast, in order to retain our strong market position, says Lars Blomberg, Chairman of the Board of PlayAd Media Group. 

Ability Mobile Media Group is one of the pioneers of mobile advertising in Sweden. Founded back in 2008 by Johan Hedenbroand Patrik Törn, online advertising veteran Heli Brewitz  joined the company as CEO in 2010. The company has been offering display advertising for mobile websites and apps ever since. Ability launched the current version of its advanced ad serving system Adten in October 2012.
