Priveq Investment becomes the new majority owner in Mediaplanet International AB ("Mediaplanet"), a leading provider of content marketing solutions with 15 offices in Europe and North America. The investment is made while Mediaplanet is undergoing a major digital transformation from being a company focused on printed media, into becoming a modern media company offering the entire value chain of content marketing solutions. The new ownership structure consists of Priveq, founders Richard Båge and Rustan Panday, and Mediaplanet´s management.

Mediaplanet was founded in 2002, and has grown from a Swedish marketing company focusing on printed media into an international media group with 15 offices in 14 countries, the largest market being the United States which accounts for 20 percent of sales. The company annually helps some 15,000 brands with concept, production, distribution and analysis of theme-based campaigns. The annual 1,000 theme-based campaigns are produced in partnership with powerful and relevant influencers such as organizations and influential individuals, and are designed to create engagement through a tailored distribution through own and partners’ channels in print, digital and social channels as well as events.Mediaplanet had an annual revenue of SEK 550 million in 2015, and has more than 400 employees.

“It feels great to have Priveq coming in as an active owner. Their expertise and experience from the development of similar companies will be essential during this exciting period” says Richard Båge, founder of Mediaplanet.

”Priveq has extensive experience of growth companies with substantial international presence, which suits us really well at a time when we want to professionalize the company further and take the next step in the Mediaplanet's development", says Richard Julin, CEO of Mediaplanet.

”We have been following Mediaplanet's development for several years and we are very pleased to be entering into a long term partnership with Mediaplanet and its employees to develop the company further. We believe that the repositioning towards an increased digital focus will make it very attractive in the markets where Mediaplanet is present today, and we also see opportunities in new markets in the future” says Mats Hjerpe, Partner at Priveq Investment.
