Securing IoT devices: How to design a secure IoT device
Tid 14 Mars 2019 11:30 – 13:00
Plats When: Thursday, 14 March at 11:30-13:00. Lunch is served from 11:30 and the seminar begins at 12:00. Where: Mobile Heights Center, Mobilvägen 10 in Lund.
Designing a device that is meant to be connected to the Internet must include a set of fine-tuned mechanisms to make it as resilient as possible to hacker “sharks” waiting to exploit a new/unprotected device.
During this lunch seminar, we will make a short overview of the standard mechanisms that needs to be implemented. We will also share our experiences in how we further strengthened the systems exposed on internet hacks.
The audience will have a unique opportunity to get insights into challenges and their solutions implemented by our experts with more than 10 years of experience in designing secure embedded devices.
The main topics of discussion will include:
- Short intro in IoT and security
- Attack vectors
- Protection principles
- Best practices
