2. 18:10 - 18:50 - “An introduction to AI” by Thorsten Jacobs

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are certainly one of today’s hot topics, not a day goes by without it being mentioned in the news or tech blogs. Maybe you're wondering what the magic is behind this new technique, or is it that new after all? What can an AI do and what are the limitations? How will it develop in the future? In this talk the speaker will give an introduction to AI, explain basic concepts and show practical examples done by the Seavus AI team.

5 minutes break

3. 18:55 - 19:35 - “Gradient boosting“ by Simon Larsson

Although not as hyped as deep learning, gradient boosting tree algorithms have proven to be one of the most powerful tools in machine learning today. Used both to win machine learning competitions and to solve problems in the industry, they have proven to be a better choice for certain type of problems.
In this talk the speaker will give an introduction to how gradient boosting and decision trees work, which problems they are good at solving, as well as some practical advice on how to use them.

5 minutes break

4. 19:40 - 20:20 - “Introduction to clustering for .NET developer“ by Nikola Ognenovski

Cluster analysis is finding and grouping similar objects for the purpose of exploratory data mining in the area of statistical data analysis, used in machine learning, pattern recognition, information retrieval, bioinformatics, computer graphics. This presentation is about the usage of common clustering techniques, mainly K-Means and introduction on how we can use it to find some insights in the data, by preprocessing the data and model parameters until we achieve the desired properties with knowledge discovery and optimization that involves trial and error.

5. 20:20 - 21:00
TheLionTalk Panel with the presenters and guest participants + questions from the audience.
