PwC announces a strategic new hire in the expansion of its global Forensic Disputes team

Singapore, 27 September 2018 – PwC welcomes new partner Michael Peer to the South East Asian Consulting Forensic Disputes team in Singapore.

Michael has provided expert witness testimony in arbitration matters across numerous industries. He has assisted clients with disputes involving investor state disagreements, commercial disputes and disputes between states. Michael has worked in North America, Europe, the Caribbean and the Middle East, and is attuned to cultural issues at the heart of disputes. Michael has testified before various local courts, including the High Court in the UK.

Commenting on his new appointment, Michael Peer, Dispute Advisory Leader, PwC South East Asia Consulting said:

While originally trained as a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada (CA - CPA), he is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with a focus on business valuations. Having received his LLM, he is a fellow of the Chartered institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He has been included in the independently compiled list of global international arbitration experts by Law Business Research, since the inception of the list. In this list, he has been described as “a standout name in the market, highlighted as a first-rate expert witness in both commercial and investor state arbitration proceedings”, “extremely sharp, commercially minded and very composed under cross-examination”, “tremendous reputation, driven by the quality of his work”, “one of the foremost experts in Europe”, “impressive”, and “gives brilliant valuations testimony”.
