New learning opportunities for Sigma Technology employees in Hungary

News   •   Jan 09, 2017 14:18 GMT

Starting from 2017, everyone at Sigma Technology’s Budapest office will get free access to LinkedIn Learning, a new learning platform launched by Microsoft’s business-oriented networking service.

Sigma Technology introduces a new benefit to all our staff in Hungary: free access to self-education resources offered by LinkedIn Learning.

LinkedIn Learning is a paid service providing thousands of high quality subtitled video courses in a variety of areas, from IT to finance, from soft skills to creative competence. The service also has extensive administrative capabilities: it allows assigning courses to individuals or groups, checking the progress people make, and providing detailed statistics about general usage.

By giving the employees access to expert-led content, we strive to create and promote a culture of learning in our company. The velocity of technological development requires constant qualification upgrading and professional development. To be successful, we need to capture new opportunities. Our goal is to help people discover and develop the skills they need through a personalized, data-driven learning experience. Though LinkedIn Learning charges a monthly subscription fee, all Sigma Technology Hungary employees will be able to use it free of charge; the company will cover all costs.

Adrienn Miklós and Walter Magdas, our consultants in Budapest, will administrate LinkedIn Learning service at Sigma Technology Hungary and are already eager to start their subscription:

“You need to have the right tools to create something valuable. Being able to gain new skills in a learning environment which you can use anywhere and anytime to learn, is a valuable opportunity. We are very excited to see what we can achieve using LinkedIn Learning.”

György Nagy, Country Manager at Sigma Technology Hungary:

“The goal of LinkedIn Learning is to help people discover and develop the skills they need through a personalized, data-driven learning experience. I think that giving people the freedom to learn and grow is one of the greatest things any employer can offer. We are among the first few companies in Europe to make this service available free of charge to our staff."
