Sigma is listed among the best employers in Sweden

Sigma and Sigma Technology continue moving up in the KarriärBarometern (Career Barometer) survey, conducted by Universum, a world leader in employer branding. This year we were ranked 33rd for IT professionals, which is 45 positions higher than last year. Sigma is also listed 43rd in another survey conducted among engineers, where we moved 20 steps up. This success proved fruitful—Sigma was awarded the Universum Rocket (Raket in Swedish) status as the fastest moving company, which outperformed its competitors in the area.

Universum is a global business partner to over 1200 clients and 1500 universities worldwide, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company’s profile is employment research: its team prepares employer rankings, which are recognized all over the world, and conducts strategic consulting for candidates, attracting future employees.

During the annual Universum KarriärBarometern survey, young professionals from different countries, including Sweden, cast a vote for their dream employer. This year more than 35 000 participants were involved in the event. Among industry giants listed in the ranking, it stands to mention IKEA, IBM, Volvo, Ericsson, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and other global corporations. This fight for high positions in the KarriärBarometern survey was intense, but it did not get in the way of the Sigma team to succeed in the most desirable ranking among technology companies in Sweden. Higher positions were a sign of the company’s qualified work.

According to this year’s KarriärBarometern survey, Sigma was listed as 33rd among the most attractive employers in Sweden.

“Our higher positions in the Universum 2015 survey is a great honor for Sigma and Sigma Technology teams,” says Carl Vikingsson, CEO at Sigma Technology Group. “We are happy to find out that such nomination has proved our hard work on achieving one of our top priorities—superior employer value. Our company follows three core principles towards our team players: to meet the demands of potential candidates, to provide opportunities for professional development and education inside the team, and to have equal and balanced work environment. They are made as a strong motivation to improve our work, maintaining the corporate spirit in our team. We are ready to inspire our employees to go forward.”
